hi folks,

Only 7 days to go now until the Doctor is back! The new adventure “A Christmas Carol” is on BBC ONE on Christmas Day at 6pm.  If you can’t wait that long? then enjoy this clip…

I must admit I cant wait for the christmas episode and I also think the new doctor matt smith and his companion Karen Gillan were awesome in the last series. But what do you think?

There is a rumour of a remake of the Firestarter movie, No not from “the prodigy” but from a book by steven king 🙂

Stephen King’s story of a pyrokinetic little girl and her ability to torch anyone who makes her mad will return to movie screens in a reboot of the 1984 film FIRESTARTER. Universal Pictures and Dino De Laurentiis Co. have joined forces to create the film and according to Variety, Mark L. Smith is hard at work penning a script for the reboot of the classic sci-fi/horror flick.

Here is a quick look at the original

Some people will remember (although not me) an adorably young Drew Barrymore in the role of little Charlie McGee as she and her daddy tried to escape the wicked government that sought to exploit their drug induced abilities. In this re-envisioning representatives for Universal Pictures commented that Charlie McGee will have “a little more edge” but what that statement entails is not yet known.

I have read the book (not seen the 1984 film) and thought it was brilliant so wait in eager anticipation for this new movie.  Steven King is a brilliant author, in fact he is my favourite, and his film adaptations are normally pretty good too.  Who can forget Mysery!!! If you have read the book you have got to see the film version…

So what do you think about Steven King, do you agree with me? Are you looking forward to the remake of the Firestarter and are there any other film adaptations of his books you want made?

Hi folks this is teaser trailor for the third Transformers movie… Entitled “Transformers-Dark of the moon”.

Interesting trailor! It features no robot-on-robot action, preferring instead to show Michael Bay’s interesting take on the 1969 moon landing. According to Bay, Neil Armstrong and co weren’t just making one giant leap for mankind, they were also investigating a crashed spaceship, which of course houses a giant Transformer.

I’m not sure I can be bothered with another Transformers movie at the moment…but lets hope this new movie is better than Transformers 2 which i personally believe was pants…… : )

Although, Bay himself has promised ‘Transformers’ fans a better movie than the last one

What do you think?

Hi all.

I watched Spiderman 3 earlier today and it got me thinking, who is every ones favourite superhero/superheroes?

Well, me, I have a couple of favourites.

Firstly, for their power and industractability I believe its a tie between the hulk and superman.

Superman has Superhuman strength, speed, stamina, invulnerability, freezing breath, super hearing, laser eyes, multiple extrasensory and vision powers, longevity, flight, intelligence and regeneration. The hulk possesses the potential for astounding levels of superhuman strength, directly depending on his emotional state, particularly his anger, spawning the famous quote: “The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets.”  By the way, I have often wondered who would win in a fight between Superman and the Hulk :).

Secondly. for his good sense of humour and wisecracks it has to be spiderman. Unfotunately He isnt as strong as other superheroes but uses his speed, agility, web and wit to comfound enemies.

And finally my favourite teams is the fantastic four which have a mixute of brain, brawn and power.

The fantastic four are: Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards), a scientific genius and the leader of the group, who can stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes; the Invisible Woman (Susan “Sue” Storm), Reed’s wife, who can render herself and others invisible and project powerful force fields; the Human Torch (Johnny Storm), Sue’s younger brother, who can generate flames, surround himself with them and fly; and the monstrous Thing (Ben Grimm), their grumpy but benevolent friend, who possesses superhuman strength and endurance due to the nature of his stone-like flesh.

I have to mention the x-men as well which I also like.  The X-men have consisted a number of heroes including Cyclops, Iceman, Angel, Beast, wolverine, Rogue, Storm and Jean Grey. They possess special powers due to their possession of the “X-Gene,” a gene normal humans lack but which gives Mutants their abilities.  The abilities vary from one hero to another.

I have loved these superheroes since I was a kid when I read the comics and am glad they have made to the big screen.

So, what does every one else think.  Who is your favourite superhero? or superhero team?

If you have more than 1, like me, then please give me your top 5 or top 10 superheroes.

Anyway, I will leave you with a clip from Spiderman 3……

John Favreau has recently let slip some details about ‘Iron Man 3’.

The director has revealed that the follow up to ‘Iron Man 2’ will directly follow on from the events of the superhero group movie ‘The Avengers’.

Favreau told MTV, “In theory, ‘Iron Man 3’ is going to be a sequel or continuation of ‘Thor’, ‘Hulk’, ‘Captain America’ and ‘Avengers’. This whole world… I have no idea what it is. I don’t think they do either, from conversations I’ve had with those guys.”

“Honestly, right now ‘Captain America’ and ‘Thor’ are their (Marvel) big priorities, and you learn things by shooting and making movies. The script is one thing, but when you actually see what you land on at the editing room – especially with Marvel where they film, cut, film some more and shape the film – you really learn as you go.”

Firstly, I just hope  these Marvel films live up to my expectations…. And secondly, do we need Iron man 3 or will it be just too much superhero movies to cope with.

Personally, I can’t wait to see Captain America and Co on the big screen.

What about you, what do you think, are you bothered or not?

I was listening to Scot Mills earlier on the radio and he mentioned a new exciting film and that is the longly awaited follow-up to Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, which unfortunatley I didn’t have fortune to see by the way.. and that is Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus, yes I am not making it up, that’s what it is called and to prove it here is the little look at the movie..

It sort of reminds me of the old Godzilla movies, now they were good 🙂

So has any body actually seen this move, or even the first one….. What did you think?

Let me know?

Hi there,

As I was putting books on my ebay shop it got me wondering, what is every body’s favourite horror writer.  Mine has got to be Steven King… I have read most of his books now.   And he wins hands down…

So what do you think, do you agree?
